if life was a movie ( poem ) — mysanewords

I wish life was a movie
the rom-com one…
when the actress would
be struggling with so not
rich life but good at what she does
she doesn’t care how she looks
Throwing out the trash-looking mess
but appears as a diva
For the club.

not drinking much
Cause the next morning
she has an office to catch up
Holding her drunk friends in one hand
When the other hand reaches
For the beeping phone
from the tiny clutch

Got plenty of one-word text
From the guy she matched
Right last night
It will seem creepy
Because he doesn’t text much
But she has a happy little smile
Because at least She has got someone
to meet next

to meet the next weekend the plan is made
with coffee and no hope they meet then
small talks and big laughter
with little wandering walks
and plans to when to meet next
slowly and gradually
that creepy one is no more creepy
small talks but lots of respect
for her she sees,
she falls in love
while he is head over heels for her.

with ups and downs
they decide
on forever…
and the movie ends.

audience claps
lonely heart feels alone now
tears coming out of eyes
some covering their face
not to show that they are blushing…
and talking among themselves
while coming out of the theatre
“it’s not real it was just a movie…. only if my life was a movie”.
