My Journey and Buildspace.
It came as a shock to me as well, when I got the message I got selected after the countdown ended. You see I am used to rejections, and now I am so used to it that no matter how much effort I have put into something I don't expect or wait for results. Now good part here is at least I haven’t given up on trying. 💪🏼
Yeah, yeah, I know you will say “Prachi enough with the sob story”. But please let me be real here at least, cause I am tired of showing that I am strong enough. But let's talk about buildspace and my project.
What is Buildspace?
It is this cool online and offline place where people can take up any cool thing and build it. From Coding to content creation to anything that you can and that you want. Currently, they are having their 5th season called “nights&weekends” and it is a 6-week program.
And guess what your supersmart friend is building?
A Timezone tool, I named it “TYME” , is a web timezone tool for online communities or organizations or groups of friends who have friends globally where each member can see each other's current time.
Believe me, I am not that stupid 🤭. I have completed more than half of the functionality but I swear it looks like a sh**t right now. It's okay, we will make it smooth like butter as well we have 3 more weeks.
Now Buildspace is continuously hammering at my weakness and that is “to show up and to show off”. You see I always have a hard time posting on social media and if I have to do it, if it is, like “necessary”, necessary then I keep it faceless. Even though buildspace is hammering I love how smoothly they are encouraging us to come out of our comfort zone and try these things out. And I honestly am doing it, cause otherwise you would never have known that I am in buildspace or I am building this.
